Welcome to Winston

Learn what Winston replaces and how the pieces fit together.

Winston is one workspace for every guest and customer conversation your business has. Instead of a CRM in one tab, Gmail in another, a calendar in a third, and an Excel sheet holding it all together, Winston pulls email from every Gmail and Outlook inbox, plus your calendar, into a single place — read and kept up to date by Winston, the AI agent built into the workspace.

What Winston replaces

Most teams run their front office across scattered tools: inquiries land in a shared inbox, bookings live in a reservation system, follow-ups are remembered (or not), and the closest thing to a customer database is a spreadsheet someone updates on Fridays. Every question — has this guest emailed before? did we meet them last week? what did we quote them? — means checking three places.

  • The shared inbox — email still works exactly like Gmail, but every message is attached to the person's record, so the history is there before you reply.
  • The spreadsheet CRM — records, lists, and views replace the Excel sheet, and they update themselves as conversations happen.
  • Inbox checking — every connected Gmail and Outlook inbox lands in the same workspace, so nothing needs a separate login to find.

How the pieces fit together

Three ideas explain almost everything in Winston. Records hold your people, companies, and deals — like rows in a spreadsheet, but with the full conversation history attached. Inboxes are the ways those conversations arrive: your connected Gmail and Outlook accounts. Winston reads what comes in across all of them, keeps records up to date, answers questions when you ask, and drafts replies for you.

Winston works with your approval in the loop: connected inboxes are read to keep records current, and Winston never sends a message without your approval unless you switch an inbox to auto-send. On top of that foundation sit the tools you'll meet in the rest of the help center — lists and views to slice your records, AI attributes that fill in fields automatically, workflows and sequences that act on your behalf, reports, and reservation apps.

Where to go next

The rest of Winston 101 walks through the basics one piece at a time:

  • How records, lists, and views organize your data — and how they map to the spreadsheet you use today.
  • How to connect your inboxes so email and inquiries start landing in one place.
  • What Winston does with what it reads, and where you stay in control.
