TermMeaning
ActionA workflow step that does something: create or update a record, add it to a list, or have Winston draft a message.
AI attributeAn attribute Winston fills in by reading the record's conversation history — party size, budget, preferred dates — and keeps current as the conversation continues.
Ask WinstonAsking Winston a question in plain language — "which wedding leads haven't replied in two weeks?" — and getting an answer with links to the records it used.
AttributeA column on an object: a field every record of that type carries, like name, email, deal value, or event date.
ChannelA way conversations reach you: email, through a connected Gmail or Outlook inbox. Every connected inbox files its activity onto records automatically.
Command menu (⌘K)The keyboard menu (Ctrl+K on Windows) that jumps to any record, list, or action from anywhere in the workspace.
ConditionA workflow check that decides what applies — is this a wedding inquiry? is the value above €5,000? — and routes the run accordingly.
DealA standard object: one thing you are trying to win — an inquiry, a contract, a renewal — moving through stages from first contact to closed.
Deposit pipelineA list of confirmed bookings or events worked through deposit collection, usually viewed filtered to due, not paid. A classic first build with lists and views.
InquiryA new expression of interest — a first email, a question about a date. Typically becomes a person record plus a deal.
ListA named, saved set of records pulled from an object — Wedding leads 2026, Deposits to collect. Lists hold the records themselves, not copies.
List attributeA field that exists only within one list — a stage or owner that belongs to the record's place in that pipeline, not to the record itself.
WinstonThe AI agent built into Winston. Winston reads your connected inboxes, keeps records and AI attributes current, answers questions, and drafts replies — and never sends a message without your approval unless you switch an inbox to auto-send.
ObjectA table holding one kind of thing. Winston ships with People, Companies, and Deals, and you can add custom objects of your own.
PipelineA set of records viewed by stage — usually a list or object shown as a kanban board — from first contact to won.
RecordOne row of an object turned into a full page: one guest, one company, one deal, with its attributes on one side and its timeline on the other.
ReportA chart or dashboard built from your records — inquiry volume by source, revenue by month — that updates as the underlying records change.
Reservation appA connected integration — Restoo or CoverManager — that links your reservation system to your workspace.
SequenceA scheduled series of messages to a set of records — follow-ups over days or weeks that stop automatically when a record replies. Same approval rules as everything Winston sends.
TimelineThe chronological history on a record: every email, calendar event, and record change, in order. What Winston reads before it acts.
TriggerThe event that starts a workflow: a record created, an attribute changed, a message arrived, a date reached.
Universal contextThe shared, structured layer where every interaction from every inbox is stored — the layer Winston reads before it says a word. The term comes from the engineering blog.
ViewA saved way of looking at a list or object: filtered, sorted, as a table or a kanban board. The Monday-morning filter setup, kept.
WorkflowAn automation that reacts when something happens: a trigger starts it, conditions decide what applies, actions do the work.
WorkspaceYour team's Winston: all your objects, records, inboxes, workflows, and teammates in one place, private to your business.
